Effect of Enneagram on The Success of The Team Set Up

The feature of the ancient Sufi philosophy Enneagram, introduced to the west as a dynamic information for the future, is forgotten, focusing only on the nine temperament types it defines. However, there is an increasing need to enable the opportunity to turn this into an opportunity by developing personal and interpersonal skills in a rapidly changing life and business environment. One of the reasons for this need is to create new partnerships and expect high team success in a very short time. The aim of this study is to examine the role of Enneagram in accelerating creative team development. Five newly assigned sales team’s twenty-five members working under Istanbul Central Office of the leading Firm in clothing retail sector in Turkey, filled tests before and after Enneagram training given for six months. The responses of success perceptions were compared with the control group. The tests include evaluations about understanding the Enneagram personality styles, achieving team effectiveness and training goals. Meanwhile expert trainer joined team meetings, interviewed with the members, scrutinized their relations, and monitored the relations of the members, whether the team achieved the team objectives. It was found by considering difference between the pre-test and the post-test's distribution of thematic success judgments, increased the success of the team, personal performance, and the sharing of knowledge about work. In addition, participants stated that their awareness, communication skills and desires changed positively with education. The results show that the knowledge of the enneagram can change behavior through emotionality as well as speeding up the team establishment phase. The faster organizations can reach an ideal team organization, the easier they can turn the divergence of e-commerce, virtual intelligence, and other new businesses into solidarity.
