Abstract

The aim of this research is to teach the values, to be right, not to interfere with the rights of others, to say that someone who does wrong in the community is doing wrong, and to gain such values by doing and living by the students with an unsupervised exam study. Quantitative design was used in this study, in which students' views on the role of unsupervised testing in adopting ethical values were determined. The research was carried out by using the first test and post-test form, which is one of the quantitative design data collection tools, by consulting the opinions of 86 students. Mixed design, which is within the scope of inter-method variation, was used in the research. In the mixed research design, both quantitative and qualitative research methods are used by combining them at every stage of the research. Within the scope of the study, it has been concluded that by conducting unsupervised exams in schools, it contributes to the students' self-control and to the prevention of deficiencies, mistakes and negativities by the students. Participants state that with the help of the unsupervised exam held at school, they apply the behaviors that a better, more beautiful, more virtuous person, and above all, a world citizen should gain, to life. Everyone can explain the characteristics of a beautiful person, but it is difficult to bring these features to life.  By using the unsupervised exam technique with the principle of learning by doing from an early age, our students have been enabled to partice the unity of discourse and action.
