History of Legendary Dishes
Abstract
This project aims to create a collaborative cookbook with local recipes using stories. It enables students studying gastronomy and culinary arts to develop their professional skills, discover the stories of local dishes, gain a global perspective about their profession and promote the development of gastronomy tourism.
Stories and local dishes will be used as the main theme as they play an important role in the sustainability of cultural and gastronomy tourism. It is known that local foods are an element of attraction in a destination. As a means of communication, stories are also a unique attraction. By combining these two attractive elements, the project aims to raise awareness, arouse consumer curiosity and contribute to gastronomy tourism.
On the other hand, unfortunately, we cannot reach most of the local stories and heroes, and some of them are forgotten after a while. By discovering the stories of local foods, we can reveal their people, legends, heroes, cultural heritage and keep them alive. By using our imagination, we can improve our writing and language skills, and prevent the works from being lost and pass them on to future generations.
